HARRISBURG - Bensalem Township has been awarded a Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) grant for the reconstruction of First Responders Field, said Rep. K.C. Tomlinson (R-Bucks), who helped secure the funding.
“First Responders Field is at the heart of our district and the process to obtain funding for it has been in motion since former state Sen. Tommy Tomlinson was in office,” Tomlinson said. “I look forward to finally seeing the park’s renovations come to life. It will be a great opportunity for our community and visitors to enjoy.”
Bensalem Township has received $1 million in grant funds through CFA funding for the rehabilitation of First Responders Field.
“I’m pleased to have worked with Rep. Tomlinson to help secure funding for this important project in Bensalem Township,” state Sen. Frank Farry said. “The approved state grant funding for the rehabilitation of the park will greatly benefit our community for years to come.”
“I would like to express on behalf of the residents of Bensalem Township my appreciation for Rep. Tomlinson’s efforts in acquiring a grant of $1 million for our First Responders Field,” said Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo. “These funds will be instrumental in providing the necessary improvements to provide additional recreational opportunities for our residents and making this a first-class facility.”
CFA grants are funded through the distribution of Pennsylvania gaming revenues to support projects throughout the Commonwealth that benefit public interests and improve communities.
